Glad you like it xD I have a flock at home now and it's like, "Geez, maybe things aren't that great for these guys?" And I already knew having too many roosters was a bad idea xD

Chickens are the most hardcore creatures on earth. While the poultry we eat may not seem like much, their cousins fight to the death and roam the jungles. They roam the JUNGLES. [ look up red jungle fowl. ;v; ]

We always thought it was hilariously unusual that they come from the jungle. Indonesia area, I think, maybe Malaysia? Too lazy to look it up. I've heard stories of roosters giving their lives to give their flock the time to escape a hawk, and it's always very intense for the prey critters. x3
Well, it makes the yard - we have a large one - feel very much more alive with six hens and their rooster around, along with three ducks(the fourth was kill't by a raccoon last weak ;-
, and I hope I don't have to go back to not having chickens. The yard'd feel very empty.
BUT
I also own rabbits. And they're in the barn. Turns out chickens like rabbit feed. And they also like pooping on my concrete floor D:< So I spend a lot of time out there chasing chickens outta my barn.
